The call to action and the national effort behind it will help us truly serve our community and advance quality care for all. We also know that a tremendous amount of good work is being done as a field and by sharing best practices and lessons learned we can allow greater adoption of quality improvement practices that have the ability to also reduce inappropriate variation in care. Learning Lab on Unconscious Bias in the Health Professions

The Diversity Policy and Programs unit of the Association of American Medial Colleges is collaborating with diversity management consultancy Cook Ross to adapt a seminar on unconscious bias for health professions audience. Cook Ross has developed an intensive and dynamic 3-day learning lab which examines how unconscious biases develop, how they influence perceptions and decision making, and thier impact on institutional diveristy and inclusion efforts.
